Cryptex League

Rules and fair play

Cryptex League exists so students can practise security skills against each other. It costs nothing and sells nothing.

Who can play

Any student with a working email address from a UAE university. One account per person. Your email is used to confirm you are a student and to help you get back into your account. It is never shown to other players.

Scoring

Every challenge has a fixed number of points. Solve it and the points are yours. Wrong answers cost nothing, but multiple-choice questions give you a limited number of attempts, and typed answers are slowed down if you guess too quickly.

Players with the same score are ordered by who reached it first.

Locked challenges

Challenges are released in rounds by the organisers. A locked challenge shows its name and points but nothing else until it opens.

Fair play

Accounts that break these rules can be removed from the leaderboard.
